"Urgent Complaint Regarding Stay Experience in Chennai"

Dear Booking.com Support Team, I am writing to bring to your urgent attention a very disappointing and unpleasant experience with a property we booked through your platform. We checked in yesterday at 1:00 PM, and the actual check-out time was today at 12:00 PM. My parents, who were checking out on my behalf (as I had to leave earlier for my flight), delayed only by 10 minutes. Despite such a minimal delay, the property staff behaved very rudely with my parents and forced them to pay an additional day’s charge of over ₹3,400 for just 30 minutes of delay. This treatment was both unfair and insulting. Furthermore, the property details on your website were misleading. The location shown on Booking.com was different, and upon arrival we were taken to another hotel entirely, which was not the one we had originally booked. We have always trusted Booking.com for our bookings, and this is the first time we have faced such an unpleasant experience, especially after coming from Australia. This not only caused financial loss but also left my parents humiliated. I kindly request Booking.com to investigate this matter seriously, take appropriate action against the property, and arrange for a refund of the unfair extra charge. I also request assurance that such misleading practices and mistreatment will not happen to other customers in the future. Looking forward to your urgent assistance.
