Rock side inn - Ella

Unexpectedly lovely stay - the room and balcony are actually even nicer than the photos, little shortcut means that it’s actually not a far walk from town Shoutout to Sam who fully helped us map out and plan out the best things to do in Ella, he was epic!

We came as guests and left as friends! In addition, an outstanding view from the room or on the terrace directly onto Ella Rock, Sam who cooked unbelievably, the best breakfast and world-class dinner and everyone else who made our vacation a wonderful experience with their kindness. Thank you for everything!

Positive: • Breathtaking view. • Exceptionally friendly staff. • Varied and extensive food options.

Negative: • Bathroom cleanliness issues (many ants and calcified fixtures). • Very hard and uncomfortable bed. • Room quality could be improved.

Staff were so helpful, breakfast is amazing. Views from room stunning.

Road to property quite tricky and didn't take our car down. Owner arranged a tuk tuk to transport our bags and found us somewhere to park. It was worth it for the views! Watch out for leeches on path to town.

The breakfast included was delicious and the staff were so friendly! Our room had an amazing view of the mountains with a lovely sunset in the arvo!

we had lovely two nights and a wonderful time in ella. had a great breakfast at the hotel and a beautiful view of ella rock. our room had a mosquito net, which was very useful. staff was very helpful and happy 😊 unfortunately both mornings we were woken at around 7:00 due to cleaning noises (vibrating metal railings hit by broom) and loud music from the kitchen. beware the leeches on the footway shortcut to the main road, they really like to climb your feet (protection by long trousers put inside socks!)

The couple is very lovely!! We loved our stay,everything was clean and nice! Best breakfast in sri lanka😄
