Exceptionally clean, fabulous location near Arashiyama sites. Owner was friendly and helpful; she even left coffee, treats and noodles in the fridge for us. Property exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.

The location was amazing. It was next to train station, Monkey Mountain, Bamboo forest, combini. The space was clean, organized, and had everything we needed.

Very pleasant house, the facilities available are also complete , the host are provider some noodles, coffee, and cookies. for location it’s very close to Hankyu Arayshima station and near a very beautiful garden during cherry blossom season.

This was the best place that we have stayed among all of our trips to Japan. At first our purpose is to stay leisurely 10 days to enjoy Sakura viewing, and it was the best decision we've ever made to choose Ranten. We loved its location that is very near the train station as the walking distance. So not only Arashiyama, but we could go to sightseeing anywhere easily. However, we took almost all of our time here for walking, cycling and picnic nearby. More than the location, the house was very cozy, clean, roomy and have many facilities that make you feel at home. The landlady was very kind and ready to answer your question. She prepared coffee, instant noodles, seasonings and snacks in the big refrigerator that was very helpful to us. There was a white cleaning robot that we were acquainted for 10 days, thank you, Shirayuki-hime! If we have a trip to Arashiyama in the future, I will come back to stay here surely!

The house is located in a beautiful area among green hills. It is very quiet and nice. Everything in the house is thought out to the smallest detail. Very clean and comfortable. 24-hour store in 5 minutes. The hostess is very nice and hospitable. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to live like a real Japanese.

Very close to the train and sights, yet away from the crowds and noise. The property exceeded expectations and was much larger then other properties we had stayed in,while in Japan.

The apartment was very clean and spacious for 5 people. The location was perfect being near to Arashima station. You were able to choose japanese- style or western-style room. Both were very comfortable. The apartment was very modern. The communication with the owner was great. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. The apartment felt safe and secured.
