The accomodation was right next to Arashiyama station. Nearby combini and 15min walk to nearby main station Saga-Arashiyama. The host had incredible hospitality, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. We enjoyed the free snacks in the fridge and coffee.

We enjoyed everything about our stay at RanTen. However, the stairs are very steep. People with mobility issues, or young children need to keep this in mind as all the bedrooms are upstairs.

Really nice, comfortable, new house. This is the best place we stayed in, in all our holidays. It is much nicer in reality then on the photos. Ground floor with a kitchen/diner,a really nice bathroom with washing machine and a separate bathroom. On the second and third floor there are in total four bedrooms, two large western style bedrooms and two smaller tatami rooms. (Max occupancy is five people). The house was where booking and googlemaps placed it. Location is two minutes from the hankyu arashimia station, close to nature and in a quiet area. The host was friendly and reacted fast to any question. As an extra bonus there was more coffee and cookies in the fridge then anyone can drink or eat.

Nothing. This is a not an apartment but a house with a staircase, so not suitable for people with mobility issues.

Our best best stay in Japan. Incredibly welcoming host. New and clean house. The kitchen is well equipped, and there were many different noodles, ramen, sauces, and cookies in the fridge to use for free. Two bedrooms with 2 single beds, and 2 bedrooms in Japanese style. Stayed with 2 kids. Amazing location close to monkeys park, Arashiyama, temples, that all can be reached by foot.

We had to use coin carpark located 1 minute walk from the house as our Nissan Serena couldn't fit the car lot at the house. Very narrow street. Suggesting to use Times carpark for overnight stay if you need it, as it accepts cards and it is a bit closer to the house.
