MADRID CENTRO - CALLAO - GRAN VIA - MUY CENTRICO

The location is perfect. Situated close to the Royal Palace, Gran Via and a lot of major attractions. A lot of restaurants and supermarkets close to the property as well. It has an AC unit if it gets too cold and the kitchen is well equipped.

The property was a bit worn out. There were some stains on the pillow cases and towels. We were only given one towel per person (no face towel, just a body towel). The mattress was a bit soft. It seemed to have been used for a long time.

I usually give a good recommendation.... BUT not this time!!!! If you want be in peace, do NOT get accommodated by this HOST. I have never experienced such a horrible behaviour by any host ever in my life!!!! We arrived at the facility at agreed time, no one was there. Host communicates only in Spanish and is very rude and unprofessional. Instead of making everything possible to come and give us the key, he started chatting with me over Booking chatting app in Spanish (so I translated, all right) - but he was putting blame on me that it is my mistake (I still don´t understand what and why) and he was threatening me that unless I apology (I don´t understand for what?) he will not give us the key. I was panicked and started to search for another accommodation. I had to inform customer service of Booking - they called me and ensured me that they will speak to the host and everything will be ok. In the end after almost 2 hours, a nice lady (not the host) arrived and gave us the key and we fortunately got in. The lady didn´t know anything about the chat communication with the host. The property itself is nice - it is a bit small, but in a great location in the city centre. So it might look as a good value for the money. But for all 3 days there I was afraid what can the host do bad to us. Is the property safe? Is someone coming to rob us?! etc. The behaviour of the host - HORRIBLE!!! I will never ever come back and I recommend you to avoid this host.

Location, Decor, Facilities available such as Laundry. Right in the heart of Madrid in the Callao area. Contained everything required. Bed was comfortable.

a few areas shows age e.g. the Shower door itself would not close completely; I'm a rather large person so the position of the toilet was a bit uncomfortable.

Location is Centro, well served by various lines of metro.

- A proper black out curtain will be better than to use a blanket to cover out the lights. - to block the noise on the street on the first place it is necessary to have double sealed noise window, too noisy to sleep well. - communication only done via booking.com , no other means of communication - check in communication was impatient when I informed that I was 10mins late to collect the keys

The apartment was great, the owner was nice and helpful, the area was full of restaurants and it's close to the center and metro. There were hot water throughout the day.

The noise from outside was quite loud in the night. And it was a little bit dusty.
