Hoo!Hoo!

The onsen was great! Mr. Kato was a great host and we enjoyed the breakfast next morning. The calm aspect of the town was great and we felt at peace there.

The vibe, the rooms, the baths overlooking the river and the exceptional and congenial host!!!

Hoo!Hoo! is a cosy, welcoming guesthouse in the beautiful mountain location of yuyaonsen town in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The quality of hospitality provided by Kato-san was exceptional and my stay at this lovely onsen guesthouse was a highlight of my six weeks travel in Japan.

Nothing. If travelling to Yuyaonsen town by train, bring some easy microwave meals or snacks as dining is limited in the area. By car there are plenty of great places locally a short drive away.

Amazing place! Our favorite stay during whole Japan trip! Very clean, well designed. The private onsen is just amazing, open whole night and day, with the river and forest view. It was our favorite part of the stay :) very tasty breakfast- homemade granola with local dried fruits. Area is very calm and nice paths to walk around, you can also rent bikes. The property is 2 minutes walk from the train station. Everything was lovely!
