The place is design with a good taste, you can see that every detail has been thought through - that what makes it a perfect stay. The place offers the prefect combination of tranquility and relaxation by the river in this magical and peaceful village. The room is very simple but the rest of the facilities provide you everything you need and more. There is a nice and homey breakfast with great coffee. The private onsen is absolutely amazing! The owner is very nice and welcoming and helped us with everything we needed, more than expected. We will definitely be back! Very close to the train station and bus station to travel around. Also you can rent a bike and explore the village and it's surrounding (highly recommended!).

Yuyaonsen itself doesn't have much restaurant for dinner. However the owner is very helpful with that, he provides a list of recommended spots and also advises on the spot. Everything is in driving/cycling distance (or long nice walk) Even though, we will definitely recommend it. You just have to come prepared.

Hoo!Hoo! is a wonderful place to stay - quiet and relaxing. Our host was professional, polite and exceedingly helpful - we are very grateful for all of his guidance and hospitality. We drove to get here, but it is very close to a train station, making it very convenient no matter what method of travel you use. Our room was a very good size and was exceedingly comfortable - the sound of the river right outside your window makes the perfect lullaby. Breakfast is healthy and delicious and we really appreciated the addition of a steamed sweet potato on the second morning as the air began to get chilly. All of the ingredients are simple, but of very high quality. The private onsen was a standout during our stay - we took every opportunity to indulge in this and soothe our tired muscles after long days full of hiking.

The host was very kind and welcoming, we loved the whole Japandi vibe in the foyer and lounge, the onsen bathrooms that overlooked the river and were very atmospheric, and the buffet breakfast was tasty.

The rooms have bare pine boards not tatami, there is no bedside light for reading, and the futon were very thin and even when I added another layer were not particularly comfortable, even though I am used to sleeping on futon.

Ein ganz herausragender Gastgeber in einem wunderschönen Haus, dass direkt am Fluss mitten in der Natur liegt. Alles passt perfekt zusammen und ist bis ins Detail aufeinander abgestimmt. Hier geht es nicht darum einfach nur zu übernachten, sondern Japan zu erleben und tiefer zu verstehen - vor allem dank der unglaublichen Gastfreundschaft und Freundlichkeit.
