Flat 4 Marine Parade House, 1 East Cliff- Next to Dover Port, White Cliffs, Beach, Castle

No breakfast included as agreed so ok

As we were traveling down I received a message from the owners saying for OUR COMFORT and bathroom dryness could we please leave the bathroom fan on during our stay. I found this comment to be very disappointing as my grandson is on the Neural Divergent pathway, the noise from fan was really distressing for him, and if I had know that it had to be on continuously I would not have booked the flat. Also in the back bedroom the window was open on arrival, and we were unable, to close it therefore the room was very cold at night

Incredible experience . The host rain allowed us to check in 2 hours prior to check in . The sun room is absolutely stunning with loads of toys for kids . Everything has been taken care of in small detail to provide comfort to the guest . Will be returning or sending over my staff for stay over .

This flat is absolutely lovely. It is huge and full of character. We only stayed one night as we were going to France the next day (so location was amazing as it is about 5 mins to get to the port from the flat). However, we would 100% stay again as beds were comfy, the sun room and balcony were fabulous and everything was well equipped. It’s also a very short walk to Dover beach and all the restaurants and bars there. The host was very helpful and checked in to ensure we enjoyed our stay. It was a great start to our holiday with lots of nice little touches.

The washing machine could do with an upgrade as there is black mould growing on the rubber part of the door.

Spacious and well maintained. They allowed us to do an early self check in.

Very bad smell in bathroom even though the exhaust fan was always on during our stay. The information regarding the lock box for the key, wasn’t sent until the next day, so a bit hard working out where the key was kept.

It was a beautiful place and the extra touches, like snacks and dog treats were lovely

I had a reaction to something in the property and it was very hard communicating with the owner. I didn't feel listened to or heard about what was going on with my health. I thought it strange that it was bank holiday weekend and everywhere was booked up apart from these apartments. It was all dark when we arrived, there are two or three apartments for rent (short term)I think, and they were all vacant. The building was dark and ominous

Difficulty signing in and getting keys. I had to disturb another tenant twice to find out where to get keys. I was told the wrong color lock box. Unit was so cold that I left 2 days early. I turned the heat up to 30 ºC and even with 2 additional, but inadequate, electric haaters the unit remained so cold I left 2 days early. Light by the bed was impossible for me to figure out how to make it work. Unit was so cold that I could not read in bed beacuse my hands would be too cold. Owner criticised me for not leavin the keys in the lock box. I did not receive instructions for where to leave keys. Unit was advertised as being close to Dover Castle and the White Cliffs. The Cliffs were about 13 miles away if one calls that close. I requested a refund for the 2 days I did not stay. I am still waiting. Owner also accused me of damaging a shoe rack in the unit. I never saw or touched it.

Fantastic location and beach is just across the street. It is a great flat4, and loved the balcony and the light.

Really not anything. It was a lovely original place. I hate staying at chains. This was great.
