The log burner was just the absolute highlight, of course along with the hot tub. It was so cozy and such a lovely space. Everything was really well stocked. Brilliant.

Would be nice if the garden was attached to the property as we had a dog, so had to put her on lead going to and from but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Also being right next to the railway bridge you can hear the trains, though they are very quiet.

"A really comfortable house with everything you need."

The Old School House was very well equipped with comfortable beds and sofas. It was spotless. Its position was amazing right in the centre of town, but still very quiet. There was parking for two cars. We found the drive easy to navigate even with a very large SUV. We like to self cater, as we have a dog, and this is one of the best properties we have stayed in. Whitstable was charming and we enjoyed exploring that part of Kent.

Hot tub was obviously the highlight, but everything else was still perfect. Very clean, well looked after. Log burner that kept the living room lovely and toasty on the one day that it was cold. Smack in the centre of town. What more could one want

Close proximity to town and beaches Property very clean, airy and very well equipped. Definitely a place to return

Would have liked garden or courtyard attached so dog could go out without having to go out front door and put him on lead.

"A real home from home offering a little oasis of calm within reach of the shops and restaurants in the town centre. Host"

The location of the Old Schoolhouse is great, just behind the Main Street but tucked away like a little oasis of calm! The property is really cleverly converted, quirky and cosy with lots of thoughtful touches. The beds and bathrooms work well and are flexible for lots of different ages (in our case including a teenager who opted to sleep on the sofa bed to have his own space) The kitchen had everything you could need and the communal spaces are cosy and furnished to a really high standard. The hot tub is a great addition, in its own little garden with fairy lights to make it a lovely relaxing space in the evening!

The turn into the lane to the cottage can be a bit tricky for a big car, especially coming off the traffic lights, but it’s worth it for the location right in the town centre, within walking distance of all Whitstable has to offer!
