Valletta Old Town Suites

This was a last minute booking as I was attending a conference. The place is in the basement with next to no natural light. There is a strong smell of damp and mould throughout and no way of airing the place. First day I killed a cockroach in the bedroom, and saw rats outside the kitchen door which opens onto the damp bottom of a well. The property owners refused to give an alternative accommodation, I had no choice but to stay. There were several other issues, like kettle and toaster not working, noisy fans, cracked wall around electric sockets etc. The place should not be rented due to health and safety reasons

The locations was really good

It’s not very clear that the other bedroom was on the second floor, and did not had proper curtains. So it was impossible to sleep in the morning and the sun would come in through the roll curtains that covered part of the window. The bed was not super comfortable in either room.

The location was great.

The mosquitos and musky/damp smell.

Good location

Don’t let you get trapped by the pictures on booking. There seem to be different apartments, we got the one on the ground floor with its ‘Patio’ (2sqm of mossy light shaft). While the apartment was superficially cleaned, it’s humid and smelly. They put two noisy dehumidifier devices (you have even to empty the water tanks) which don’t help much against the mouldy odor. The ant colonies in the kitchen and behind the wall strips seem to like the climate though. Also better bring mosquito repellent.

Ubicación inmejorable, aunque nos costó encontrarlo. En general todo bien. Ofrecen algunos amenities, toallas y secador de pelo. La terraza es estupenda. Buena relación calidad precio.

Faltaron cosas como estropajos para limpiar en la cocina y papel higiénico, aunque no lo pedimos, simplemente lo compramos. Estoy a la espera de la devolución de la fianza. Se hubiera agradecido algo de flexibilidad en el check in para guardar el equipaje sobre todo. Nos costó encontrarlo. Casi todo en bastante buen estado, a excepción de un par de cosas rotas. Los estores no tapan suficientemente la luz. La cama de abajo no está muy bien.

Το διαμέρισμα ηταν τρομερό , με πολυ καλη τοποθεσία κοντά στο κέντρο της Βαλέτα . Πολυ ωραία θέα απο το πανω μπαλκόνι και την ταράτσα.

Valletta, przepiękna.

1. Podejście właściciela apartamentu, trudność z dostaniem się do apartamentu. Dodatkowe weryfikację przez WhatsApp o których nie było mowy przy rezerwacji. 2. Bardzo słabe warunki mieszkalne nieadekwatne do opisu. 3. Brak czajnika, herbaty, kawy, niedziałające telewizory, brudno w łazienkach, zepsuta słuchawka prysznicowa w łazience, dużo kurzu wszędzie, brudne naczynia i garnki. Tylko 3 kubki na wyposażeniu. Nieszczelne okna, uszkodzone łóżko. Zepsute jedno światło w łazience.

La situation dans la ville

Nulle part dans la description de l'annonce il n'était stipulé que l'appartement était au 2ème étage et que la seconde chambre n'était accessible que par un petit escalier en colimaçon en pierre, sur 2 étages et large d'environ 70 cm. Même chose pour la terrasse dont la photo est trompeuse. D'autre part l'appart n'a pas de pièce de séjour avec un canapé qui l'aurait rendu convivial. Enfin, parlons de la cuisine: Pas de micro onde, pas de bouilloire, pas de cafetière, pas de poêle à frire,2 réfrigérateurs certes mais dont aucun ne fonctionne. Ne parlons pas du lavabo du premier niveau qui ne se vide pas et oblige l'occupant de la première chambre à se brosser les dents sur l'évier. J'ajoute aussi l'absence de tout fond d'épicerie. En résumé, si l'annonce n'avait pas été mensongère, jamais nous n'aurions, à 80 ans, loué ce logement.
