Sun Room (Studio) on the edge of the Harties dam.

Location

The place is filthy. One night cost us R1750, however, the only thing worthy of that price is the location. Dust and spiders everywhere. The towels and bedding were used and not washed, we asked for new linen and we were told they don’t know where the lady keeps her fresh linen. The owner said we can leave if we’re not happy (at 23:00), knowing very well we won’t have any where to go at that time. The bed is loud. We stayed without electricity the whole time while nearby houses had electricity. We asked to use their gas stove and there was no lighter nor matches. The place smelled bad, we sprayed the whole room. The bathroom is upstairs next to the kitchen, while the bedroom is downstairs. You have to walk down curvy thin stairs to go to the bedroom. Driving in is a nightmare as only one car can pass, as well as the parking. Overall maintenance is very bad!

i literally loved everything about it but my most favourite thing by far was the vinyl player and the absolutely stunning view of the dam.

there was absolutely nothing to complain about!

Unfortunately power went out 2 x during my one day stay Had to call.owner to get some emergency lights The caretaker only responded after called owner However owner offered me another day stay for free .

No emergency lights No coffee No toiletries Lucky I carried my own insect spray as many spiders in bedroom Also many stairs to get to room and also staircase to get to toilets from bedroom So not ensuite
