2 Bed Old Town Apartment - Next To Castle

Excellent location

Was noisy - pub downstairs and residents above, apartment was decorated a little sparse and basic but ok.

Loved everything, flat spotless, spacious and classy...ace location as well.

Only bit of constructive criticism , should put a small dressing table and mirror in one of the bedrooms plse..a girl likes somewhere to do her face and make up!

The castle is across the road! When I’m travelling I look up to the lit windows of apartments and wonder, what is it like in there, what is it really like to live there, (opposed to a hotel) AND now we know!! It’s better than the photos, it’s gorgeous and spacious, with all the things you need to live like a local. Heating, Washing, cooking, watch tv and drink wine at the end of a big day. We stayed 1 night in New Town, and stayed 4 nights here in Old Town. Old town is the Edinburgh experience we wanted, it’s incredibly beautiful, and it snowed !! We had a car and drove a few hours in each direction but from home we walked to cafes, pubs, restaurants, shopping.

Just so you know, it’s on top of the hill. We had a car, which is always difficult to find parking but after speaking to an inspector we were able to park about 50mtrs away. I’m not sure how the people on foot get here. Yes, every floorboard squeaks (I thought it was weird people were commenting on the floors, its ok) and yes a little bit of late night chatter from people leaving the pub down below but all good.

Location was good and a large apartment.

No hot water in the shower or toilet handbasin. Paintwork scruffy chipped . Handles off doors , the light switch in the lounge buzzed the lights flickered and TV pixelated constantly . Very unloved

Exceptional Georgian interior with interior details intact. Although some finishes were very authentic therefore in museum condition, the experience is exceptional in the location.

Squeaky floorboards;)

The location is incredible!! So close to everything, although that does mean you can hear the noise from the street in the night. The rooms are great. Tall ceilings, and well furnished.
