Comfortable 1-Bed Apartment Stamford Town Centre

The hosts were mega helpful with everything. They always replied super quickly. The location is very good, and I recommend reading the entrance instructions before arrival, since it can save you quite a few issues.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable and the shower a bit small, though we decided to change to a different apartment than the original one -which was bigger-, since my husband has reduced mobility, and it was easier for him to change to a lower apartment. The rest was perfect.

Downsides: Very noisy-woken up frequently by street noise Woken up by intermittent heater noise and bathroom fan noise Cutlery not clean (photos attached) and area around sink not clean Stains on carpets Advised 3 people staying yet only 2 mugs, 2 cereal bowls and 2 chairs Sofa bed very uncomfortable Flag is quite tired-superficially looks ok but attention to functional detail lacking eg. bedside lamp nowhere near a plug socket. Booked for 3 guests and the sofa bed was not made up and had to look for sheets to put on the bed in other cupboards Overall glad we only needed 2 nights and we didn’t need to spend much time in the flat due to the activities we were there for. I note that the criticism of only catering for 2 occupants is not new and other reviewers have said the same

Location great, flat above shop on high street. Bed very comfy.

Door to rear fire escape needed cleaning, letter boxes full of mail, doorbells broken not a good first impression. Once at the top of the fire escape, top floor flat another 30 steps carpet not been hoovered on staircase. Once inside the flat needed some TLC, shower cubicle tired, living furniture seen better days.

The location was brilliant, and the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. Once the heating kicked in it was lovely and warm. There's a microwave, cooker and fridge which all worked great.

The key safe could be labelled, you can't see in the dark locking the last door. Parking near the property was a nightmare so we had to park far away, not ideal when carrying bags. The stairs to the apartment are endless, ok if your physically fit, but not for an 83 year old, on arrival we couldn't wait to have a cup of tea, but there were only 2 mugs provided, even though they knew 3 adults were staying there. The carpet had lots of stains on it. And the place looked like it needed a good clean, dust all behind the bed, cobwebs in the corners of the windows, and dust all along the skirting boards in the bathroom. And the extractor Fan in the Bathroom was disgusting it was covered in dirt. There was Dirty cutlery. The kettle was caked in limescale, I had to rinse it out a good few times as big flakes were coming out. Also if 3 people are staying there should be another comfortable chair, as the sofa only seats 2, so we had to keep swapping sitting on a tall wooden chair, not the comfiest if you want to watch TV, we couldn't get terrestrial TV either which my Mum wanted to watch. And to top it off a cold shower, so we couldn't shower for 2 days.

Freezing / bathroom damp and mould. After being told there were 12 stairs max there were 59. Not acceptable.

Very comfortable apartment. Brilliant location. My second time to stay here.

Slightly difficult to find first time. Lots of narrow stairs.
