It’s all a bit run down. Our balcony and sea view is a passageway to other bedrooms so not private and so you can’t open the curtains to enjoy the view. Water was sprayed on the terraces and left puddles outside our room all day. There is a steep walk to the only restaurant in walking distance, a car is a must. The chairs by the pool are uncomfortable and the steps down to the beach are dangerous. You can’t swim unless it’s high tide as there’s lots of rocks.

There was no fridge on the entire property we could use, they never cleaned our room or made the bed once in 5 days, the Wifi basically didn't work and the breakfasts were pretty bad and really tiny. We booked breakfast included and asked for fruit instead and were made to pay extra for it. All in all the owners just don't understand how to make their guests feel welcome. The pizza's are good but more expensive than a good restaurant in Italy. On our 1 month trip to Mexico, this was by far the worst place we stayed at.

On the first night I would have given this place 3 or 4-stars, but after 4 days of staying here it has earned it's 1 star review. I've never given a terrible review and have travelled all over the world. The location is great and the view stunning, but everything else is pretty terrible. If the owners ever cared, that is long gone and now you are left with an over-priced and terribly run resort. The main issue is 90% of the time there was no one on-site. When we arrived they weren't expecting us. Then every night thereafter other guests arriving late, would ring the bell and bang on the door constantly until we were made to wake up and help them. I felt as if they were making me do the damn check-in's for them and this happened daily. At 6am ladies would hoot outside the gate and wake us. When we communicated this with the owners on whatsapp they replied, "ok". No apology, nothing, seriously bad guest service and communication.

The rooms were large and clean. The location was quiet. The wifi was very good. The restaurant had excellent pizza and the staff were very gracious and polite. Helpful staff. I felt very safe and relaxed.

We rented two rooms one with a wonderful view of the beach which was more expensive than the other. Once we got settled in we started smelling this unbearable smell of sewerage. We tried to ignore it but after a few minutes, some of us were getting headaches. We check with our friends and the smell was overwhelming as well in their room. We reached out to the manager and she sent an employee to see if she could correct the problem. As soon as he came into the room, his facial expression said it all, he knew exactly what we were dealing with and offered us and our friend other rooms. Regrettably, the room offered to them although a bit bigger did not have the same view as the original one. The room we received had a non-working AC unit, which also made us almost want to return to the original rooms since the AC worked in that room. So we called the manager again, this time the lady was getting flustered, and said: "I just rather give you your money back because you are costing me more money". Which I felt really meant basically you are too much of a hassle. Keep in mind we were two parties in the hotel. By this time it was late, and this option was not viable since there were no other hotels at walking distance and the location is so far from where any taxis drive by. In the end, we bit the bullet and stayed in the room with AC that had the sewerage smell we just put a wet towel over the drains so we can cover the fumes. No discount or apology was given at any time, which left a bad taste in my mouth.
