If you're looking for somewhere special to chill and relax, take in some lovely views, stay in beautiful surroundings, in a beautiful property, and enjoy a gorgeous breakfast with fantastic hosts (Pat and her fluffy friends) this is the place... We loved our stay and would highly recommend! From start to finish we felt welcome....

The house was amazing, we literally had half a house to ourselves. Everything we needed was there, and more. Fantastic location in a beautiful setting.

There was nothing not to like.

Cannot fault Brownrigg at all. Pat is an exceptional host - welcoming, affable and accommodating beyond measure. After a two night stay, we left feeling like we had known her forever! We were visiting the area for a wedding at nearby Woodhill Hall but taxis were hard to come by due to the rather remote general area, which we were aware of once the wedding invite landed on our doormat. Pat very kindly offered to drop us off and pick us up and did this not once, but four times! She really does go out of her way to make sure that your stay is stress free. Breakfast was delicious, and 3 of the 4 of us being vegetarian was no issue at all. Pat even offered us the use of her dressing room for our stay so that we had a little extra space to get ready; it’s little things like this that make a world of difference between feeling like you are staying in a place and actually feeling genuinely welcomed. Brownrigg itself is a stunning property in a spectacular location, and once inside the wow factor continues. This 160+ year house is clearly so well cared for by Pat, it’s beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable and homely. It was a pleasure also to meet Pat’s three gorgeous dogs who were very well behaved and also made us feel very welcome! I only wish we had an excuse to go back!
