Spacious Townhouse on Quiet Street-Wi-Fi, Desk

Beautiful location south of the river. Short walk into the town centre! The room on the top floor was so light and airy. The house felt well equipped throughout. Some nice touches like coffee pods for the coffee machine! Plenty of information received beforehand and in the property. Stamford is a lovely town, so there was lots to explore. Great places to eat out!

The beds weren't that comfortable, one room had a very firm mattress and the other was soft. They felt like a small double. The surfaces and spaces generally felt clean, but noticed marks on doors and walls. The shower drips continually so needs the doors shut so water doesn't go everywhere. The towel rail in the bathroom is very hot- this was nice to dry towels but could be stifling. We had the bathroom window open the whole time. Some of the information provided was misleading, there was on street parking out the front of the property and up a nearby side road, so we didn't need to use the local car parks. On the website/ property brochure/ website there was different check in/ out information but I went with what was on booking.com. These were minor issues and we figured it but an easy thing to correct for future bookings!

The check in times differed on different communication which was very confusing - the app and the emails were totally different. The towel rail was on at such a high temperature and with no way to open the bathroom window. It made the whole upstairs far too hot. There is no need for that to be on when it is summer. There was no sponge to clean dishes with - and you could tell previous guests had the same problem because the plates were not that clean. Parking was difficult and the booking.com listing makes it sound easy, however when you receive further communication you find out it is not. There are so many emails also!

Noisy boiler, no coat hangers, no bread board or chopping board in the kitchen, no vegetable peeler, dishwasher not working, too many emails about check in and check out times.

Good location and central for town. Very comfortable and clean.

We couldn’t get the dishwasher to work.
