Wee Cottage - Super King bed!

Nicely decorated, great attention to detail, good communication from the hosts. Would definitely return.

Hosts were brilliant and communication fast and really clear including support with booking system. Couldn't have done more and really made our stay wonderful. The cottage is cosy, well equipped, and peaceful. Lovely seating area in the garden and with great walks on the doorstep.

The primary bedroom is open plan to the downstairs so there is no barrier to noise if the television is on, or your travelling companion snores it didn't spoil our stay but it was unfortunate. Some of the local facilities, e.g. the cafe/bakery only open on certain days of the week. We were unable to use them during our stay so would recommend taking breakfast with you.

Great cosy comfortable house....minor issue that was dealt with in a prompt,friendly and professional manner,TV has no live channels so self log in TV only....not a complaint but just heads up for fellow guests....really nice place....would I stay there again?.......yes 👍

The location was fab for us having family in the area. The bed was really comfortable.

Having to walk downstairs to use the loo in the middle of the night but I knew this before I booked and would book again.

Stunning wee cottage in a lovely little village. Perfect base for exploring Dumfries and Galloway. There is lots of info in the cottage about things to do and walks around D&G. The cottage itself has everything you need and is almost bordering on luxury! The super king size bed is extremely comfy. There is a community cafe which kinda replaces the local pub as there is not one in Penpont - sells good food and homemade scones and cakes. Everyone we bumped into in the village was very friendly and helpful 😊 There was nothing not to like! I can live without a pub on my doorstep. However the locals told us that a path is in the process of being built that will allow safer walking between Penpont and Thornhill. Thornhill is approximately 2 miles up the road and has good pubs and eating out places. 😊

It is luxurious and homely at the same time. All the finishes are to a high standard. It is well equipped with everything you can need. The bed is huge and really comfortable.

Charming cottage in a beautiful little of Penpont. Beautiful restored without losing any of the character. Warm, cozy, comfortable, spotless clean. Everything you need. Great attention to detail. Close to shops, restaurants, attractions. Drumlanrig Castle on the doorstep. Great stop for day trips to the surrounding area. Peace and quiet in the countryside. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful. Love, love love it.
