Devon Surf . Inn - Hiriketiya

The best stay I've had in Sri Lanka. Rooms are very clean, AC worked well and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The people were so friendly - I arrived early hoping to leave my bag and was given a fresh passion fruit juice and they prioritised getting my room ready. On leaving, I left my Kindle and they found it then rode out to find me and give it back.

Rooms were lovely, modern and clean. The host and family were so kind and friendly - they couldn’t do more for us. They allowed us to store some food in the fridge, do some of our own cooking, rent a moped and do some laundry. Good WiFi.

Had to walk along a main and busy road to get to the road leading to the beach but it wasn’t a problem. Maybe at night it might be safe to have the torch on your phone on for oncoming traffic as there are no street lights.

One of our best stays in Sri Lanka. Really nice room with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Lovely people and the breakfast was great :)

We stayed here for two nights. Devon is a very friendly guy, open to his guests and genuinely sincere. We didn't use the breakfast option as we had other plans in the area. The bedroom was clean and had recently been updated with new furnishings, so everything looked good. However, the (new) mattress was about 20 cm too short for me (I’m 1.85 m tall). Despite that, it was still comfortable to sleep on. The bathroom, on the other hand, was a bit outdated and could use some maintenance.

Family run business. They are all super friendly and ready to help with any request one might have. The breakfast was very good. Highly recommended!

Great staff, helpful and organised Tuk tuk for the next part of the journey. The standard room (not budget) was good quality. Nice breakfast.

It was a bit noisy on the road side bedroom and it’s about a km to the main village centre.
