"Perfect location. Beautiful cottage."

9.0

The location is perfect. It's just a minute up an alleyway, and you're in the centre. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. It has such a lovely feel to it and was very cosy and relaxing. The host left us coffee pods, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, hand wash, shampoo, and conditioner.

The only thing I would mention to people with mobility issues is that the alleyway the cottage is on is steep and cobbled.

"Lovely stay in cosy well maintained cottage"

9.0

Lovely cottage great location. The only con I can think of is that it’s a little dark, but that would be being picky .

Very clean, comfortable and furnishing of a very good standard.

"Very good"

8.0

Very comfortable cottage for our family weekend. Everything we could have needed and a real home from home. The sofas and beds were very comfortable. Tv has all usual apps. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and toiletries. Excellent location off the main road near amusements. Very peaceful stay and we will definitely be back.

The heating took some getting used to as we couldn't understand why it was not getting warm...the heating is in Fahrenheit not Celsius so once we set it correctly it was lovely and toasty. The double bed in the main bedroom could be swapped to a king as there is enough room in the bedroom. This is only a suggestion and it is the only thing that I could mention which would make our stay more comfortable. By no way would it put us off coming again though.

"As storm Darragh hit Whitby we did feel quite snug A pleasant stay to celebrate my husband’s birthday"

8.0

Clean and cosy Adequate size

It took quite a long time for the cottage to get warm Thankfully after a phone conversation we were able to sort and get hot water But it was so cold on our arrival for at least a couple of hours Access and parking were challenging No good for anyone with mobility issues and parking should be highlighted as quite a distance

"A very nice cottage ( when warm )"

7.0

Cottage and rooms great.

Don't think The cottage is set up for cold weather or there is a better way to go about warming. two night stay 3 hr trip turn into four. arrive at 8pm drop the bags . 1st thing food .. had food back to the cottage ( a cold cottage) once we had worked out the radiators (electric) sat with our coats on waiting for the rooms to warm. In the end we said we call it a night only to jump into a cold bed . We can see the point of saving energy but if the properties are empty for a few days and the weather turns cold ? Also carrys on to the next day cottage now warm jump into the shower ( bad mistake) water freezing cold so four people having a very cold shower in the morning. If you rent the property for two nights you dont want to be reading how to set the heating and showers for half the day . 2nd. day very cozy cottage but dont forget to turn the the heating down to freeze the next occupants seems other guests have mentioned the radiators ??
