Lots of space, clean, great location.

Wifi disconnected every now and then.

It was Japanese traditional. The shower was Japanese it was nice

There were many rules. The futon was not prepared for us. Early checkout.

Great location close to the train and wonderful restaurants. The apartment was clean and spacious.

Some noise from the street and downstairs.

Terrible hosts. The worst hosts I have ever had in 20 years of traveling. The checkin process is provided in a link that is removed from the only place they will communicate which is booking.com messaging. They give you a phone number to call if you have issues and it just hangs up instantly and they are never available via phone and answer with large delays at times via booking.con messaging if they answer at all. Lastly, we just needed to drop our bags at the property at 11.30am, well past when the previous guest would have left as they charge you for ever 15 mins past 10am as they try to charge you for every possible thing they can and provide no service. I told them we just need to put our bags inside the front door and leave. They refused and said we had to leave our bags at the train station lockers but they were all full as it was a sunny Saturday. They ruined our only day in Hakone and I would recommend you stay anywhere else except this place. All of our other hosts in Japan have been fantastic so they seem to be an exception in how poorly they treat their guests.

Central but quiet location not too far from Hakone Yumoto Station and near a convenience store. Well equipped and comfortable. Host was very helpful and responsive to queries.

The unit we booked was on the second floor, and the stairs leading up to it can be rather narrow if carrying big luggage bags. Consider getting the 1st floor unit if that is inconvenient for you.

Bigger than expected with a good sized lounge room and kitchen.

A little confusing finding it with Google maps. It sent us to one of the 'other' 'Guest Villas'.
