The Owl's Nest @ Manitou: Mtn Views on Main Street

This property was perfect!! We liked everything - location, parking, space, cleanliness!

The condo was delightful, the location was perfect! We will definitely stay again. The condo was spotless, the neighbors were quiet, the host left specific helpful information. We walked everywhere!

The lock box to access the key fob was difficult to open... that's it - everything else was great.

The place was immaculate, gorgeously decorated and well thought out for everything you could ever need during your stay. It's in a perfect area for exploring the downtown or taking trips around the area. There is a great little balcony to relax and people watch The gas fireplace was great for warming up, and for the ambience. The Jacuzzi tub wasn't working, but still great for a relaxing hot soak after a day of walking and sightseeing. It was very quiet inside which is good for getting rest. It would be a fantastic couples retreat!

The instructions for getting into the building are lengthy and confusing. I arrived after dark and it was a bit of a challenge. Also, once in the parking garage, the only way to get to your room is walking up a flight of stairs, and it was difficult carrying my heavy bags up those. I was not made aware I would have to drag my bags upstairs. There is an elevator, if you get dropped off in the front of the building. The water pressure is not very strong in the shower and there didn't seem to be enough hot water. I was a bit surprised that there was no bar soap. I didn't like the fact that you were asked to take your own garbage down to the garbage area outside the building. I never found out where that was... But all in all, the place was fantastic and I would gladly stay there again!

Everything about this place was fantastic, from the location to the space itself to all the amenities within. The directions for getting into the parking garage/accessing the apartment were detailed and very clear. The space was exactly as it is portrayed in the photos, maybe even a little more impressive in person. It is so well-appointed with cool art and details, and the hosts seem to have thought of everything in providing anything we could possibly need during our stay. The bed was soo comfy, and it was lovely to open the balcony french doors and enjoy the morning sun with just the sound of birds and flowing water from the creek below--the vibes were truly serene. We were able to take advantage of the great location and walk everywhere, which was awesome. I would be absolutely delighted to stay here again should my travels ever bring me back to Manitou Springs.

The key fob did not appear to work, although this only caused a problem with one interior door in the building. (All the others were unlocked, so perhaps it was that the fob receiver thingies were not active and that's why the fob wasn't working. The parking garage gate was open every time we entered/left so not sure if the fob worked there or not.) I didn't contact the hosts about it during our stay since as I said it was only one door that we couldn't get through (and there was a quick enough alternative route through another door), but I'm sure they would have been responsive. Also the elevator did not appear to be working; either the code wasn't working (the red light would flash for a second after the code was entered but would then turn off) or the elevator was actually out of service--unclear. Again, not a big deal for us as we were able to use the stairs just fine.

Perfect location in Manitou. We loved having designated parking and the condo was beautiful. It was plenty of room for our family of 3. The kitchen was great and had everything you would need if you wanted to cook.

This wasn’t a problem for us, but it should be noted that the upstairs loft bedroom was very cold. They provided plenty of blankets and an extra space heater so I slept comfortably.

We appreciated the off street parking and location. Host only asked for the dishes placed in dishwasher and trash thrown which was very minimal compared to other places we have stayed. Water was hot unlike our stay across the street in December. We loved the living room view and sky lite in the main entry. Neighbors were pleasantly quiet.

King bed was too firm and very uncomfortable. Kitchen cabinet doors needed cleaning.
