"Bad"

1.0

The bed was comfortable

Having to park half a mile from property. The wifi was not working and no phone signal. The property was damp and the shower was nothing but a trickle. No welcome pack and it's on a very busy main road. It was very very basic and not ideal for a longish break. Very disappointed

"Enjoyable 2 night stay"

We had a very lovely short break here whilst visiting friends. The cottage was lovely, well equipped and in an ideal location for walking the local area..our visit to the Ennerdale brewery was a highlight the food was excellent.

No complaints it is as described..ideal for a quiet retreat.

"Avoid this property in its current state"

4.0

It was cheap. But you get what you pay for.

There were many issues with this property. I was only staying a few days and didn't want to be disturbed, so I messaged the owner with a full list when I left.

Great location and it had everything we needed.

The water pressure from the shower wasn't great and it says pet free, but a pet had been in the property at some point.

Great location for a easy commute into egermont for daughter to meet her friend. Lovely view to wake up to each morning from front and back of house.

Nothing not to like was an enjoyable property to stay at for the weekend.

The house is excellent, and comfortable. It is well situated for walking in the northern lakes with Ennerdale, Loweswater, Buttermere all in very easy reach. Cockermouth is close by and Keswick about 18 miles away. Highly recommended.

Nitpicking but maybe a more comfortable sofa but everything else is great.

"Great little house that’s a good base for exploring the area."

8.0

Great location. Clean. Big beds. Hot shower. A bath. Well equipped kitchen. Large garden. On street parking, no problem with spaces, we just had to walk a few doors down. Quiet, even though it was on a road.

Bit chilly downstairs, but the space heater really helped. Don’t let it put you off, bring a fluffy blanket in winter. Obvs not the fault of the owners. The Hound pub doesn’t do food. If you’re looking to eat in the area, The Ennerdale Brewery and The Countryman are lovely, but you need to book.
