Villa Lucilla - Rooms and Pool

A wonderful, quiet place with a stunning sea view from the window! Plenty of greenery around, wonderful fresh air. The best part is that the rooms are freshly renovated—everything is new and clean. There’s a pool and parking. A good, varied breakfast. Easy online check-in. Thanks for the hospitality, and greetings from Berlin!

The views are lovely. The property is recently renovated. Everything was done to the highest quality. It is exceptionally clean—like you could eat off the floor clean. The mattress is very comfortable. The location is good for exploring the whole area. The owner is nice and gifted us a small bottle of amaro when we left.

The hosts are new to running a B&B and need to iron out some kinks. Below are more suggestions than criticisms and are generally fixable. The outdoor lights around the patio and pool are on all night and create a lot of light, which is bothersome when trying to sleep. The only way to block out all the light is to seal shut the Persians, which also means you can’t enjoy any fresh air. They should install footpath track lighting and put the other lights on a timer that turn off at a certain hour. The locking system on the doors is loud and a buzzer sounds very loudly when people go in and out of their rooms. It’s hard to sleep through in the morning and at night if other guests are moving around the building. There are no bedside lamps. If you want to read at night, the only option is a very powerful overhead room lamp. Wine glasses would also be helpful. They struggle with the amount of food to put out for breakfast and run out of some things. In addition to sliced meats, some cheeses would also be good for those who like non-meat protein. And they need some higher quality fruit. My husband got a rotten kiwi one morning There should be more instructions in the room regarding WiFi, restaurants in the area, how to contact hosts, instructions for using the building, where one might find pool towels. They should also indicate where guests might find some amenities like wine bottle openers, and disposable plates, napkins, utensils, in case they bring back some food and wish to eat lunch or dinner outside on the patio. There is also an issue with the neighbors’ many barking dogs, which start up on and off all night and especially in the morning. If you’re bothered by dog barking when trying to sleep, this will be problematic.

The hospitality of the owners, they are open, very kindly! They want us give us a fantastic holiday. The view is more than fantastic. From the balcony bedroom you have an overview to the Adriatic sea, than in the middle you have a view to see the hills of the Marche and than at the left you see if the wether is blue the Sibelli mountains. From the swimming pool you have a perfect overview. There are great beds, sun, shadow and wind what makes you feel: you are in paradise! They make a great breakfast for all the guests. You can sit outside for breakfast with the overview. And they are very helpful to all the questions we have. During the evening there is a nice atmosphere with lights all over the places. The rooms are very clean, new and lovely decorated. You have your own bar inside the room, were you can buy drinks. We definitie will come back to this wonderful place and people. They understand B&B. We rate them a 10.
