I just wanted to send a huge thank you to Trissie for such a beautiful stay at The Barn. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the cozy atmosphere to the private sauna—it made our time here feel so special and intimate. It was exactly the peaceful retreat we needed, and we truly appreciated all the thoughtful touches that made it feel so warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be recommending this place and hope to return in the future!

Nothing really, except the noise from the traffic outside but nonetheless it didn’t disturb our sleep that much, and it does get quite from around 10pm

I can't get over how wonderful this stay was. Me and my best friend planned a little mid-week getaway to catch up and Trissies barn was the ultimate spot for us. Trissie is so responsive, helpful and an amazing designer, the barn she's created is so tranquil and beautiful. As soon as you walk in, everything is so modern, with a spa feel - absolutely spotless, you could literally eat your dinner on the floor! The towels are so fresh and smell incredible. There were little baked croissants, snacks, cereal and some little things like butter, milk and coffee ready for us, not to mention the incredible towel display on our bed with 2 little chocolates perched up. Last but certainly not least, the sauna is located INSIDE the barn, I've never had the luxury of having that before and I can't tell you how amazing it was. Trissie is wonderful at hosting, we honestly had the most perfect girly evening. Don't think about booking, just do it - you won't regret it. Thank you so much Trissie for everything, it's an amazing place.

The accommodation was excellent. It had everything you could possibly need. Very clean and spotless.

Top class place. Top class service. Had everything we needed . Has a proper walk in shower which is great. The Sauna was lovely . Coffee machine is on point. Nice underfloor heating. Nice quiet sitting area outside. Great sleep. Top quality booking. Trissie was very welcoming and provided generous treats for our stay too. Would definitely stay again soon!

We were attracted to the property as it presented very well in the booking.com site and appeared to meet our requirements for the week.

Put simply the property location is at most a metre from a major road carrying heavy to steady traffic 24hours a day. Cars created a steady noise, while anything larger made the building shake. We did not sleep for two nights and had to vacate four days before our departure date.

Everything. lovely location, lovely place and lovely welcoming to go with it, will be revisting soon. Can't fault this place at all.

The old out building has been refurbished and on the surface looks beautiful, clean and modern. The host allowed us to drop off our car early which was appreciated. However its the worst night's sleep we've ever had. Due to the age of the building and it's location (right on the side of a very busy road) sound proofing and insulation should have been added, if there is any its doing nothing. The sound of cars hurtling past is so loud, you literally feel like you're standing on the side of the road. When we finally fell asleep due to exhaustion (we conscidered leaving and staying in a premier inn down the road) we were woken around 5am/6am when the trucks started hurtling past. I know the traffic is out of the control of the host, but given the buildings location, much more consideration should have been given to this. If you couldn't have fitted the bedroom upstairs as you would have lost ceiling height due to the extra insulation required, it would have still been lovely with just the space downstairs. Such a shame, it's been decorated lovely but the noise is horrendous. I dont like leaving low reviews and have thought about this for a while, but another request came through.
