2-Bedroom Cosy, Spacious, & Modern City Apartment, Prime Location! Sleeps 6, Southampton Ocean Village - by Blue Puffin Stays

Really lovely, modern two bedroom apartment in the centre of Southampton, which we found roomy, very well appointed, clean, comfortable and secure. We had a carpark, there are two supermarkets within 100m and plenty of options for dinner and/or drinks at Ocean Village Marina and Oxford street an easy stroll near by. The communication with our host (Lee) was prompt and detailed, with clear instructions on how to get access. Recommended, we would stay here again

We thought the price was a bit high given it was a last minute booking (4pm on the day). And the key pickup was a bit of an unusual rigmarole too

Good location - city centre, lots of amenities around

Cleanliness - there were a few issues related to cleanliness, the property was quite tired looking and had some obvious signs of uncleanliness, such as stains in places, some parts of the floor were sticky, there were dirty mugs in the cupboards and generally just needed a clean. I didn't feel comfortable sitting on the sofa as the cushions smelt of sweat so had to be tossed to a side - they were also very flat - this made me not want to really sit on the sofa at all. Some of these issues were raised, however they didn't see them as issues and felt people have different standards of cleanliness.

Location was perfect for what we wanted to do. Bed was really comfortable had a great sleep

Property was very modern and accessible for our family. Two bathrooms with great showers. Furnishings were lovely and felt very at home. Disabled access was also great with working lift and wide doors.

Property had extremely dirty windows making any view look grey, some facilities coils do with tlc - damaged towel rails, shower heads heavily tarnished and could do with better mattress in the main bedroom ( very uncomfortable).

I like the house decor. It was great to have many people in the same property for a good price. Right next to a bus stop.

The apartment was not as clean as I would have hoped.

The property was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Beds v comfortable and living area had everything you need

The parking is an issue. We arrived when there was a football match and there was no parking although this freed up later. My main issue was that the parking needs to be paid for every day, including Sunday from 8am-8pm. There is no way to pay in advance that I could see and I missed paying at 8 am on the Sunday and went to pay at 8.40 and already had a parking fine, as did all of the other cars on the street.
