"Perfect location as we were visiting family in the area. Very clean, good facilities."

9.0

We were self catering but the chocolate bars & crisps on arrival were a nice touch. Very clean & plenty of good facilities.

Garden a little overgrown & would have been nice to sit in if a bit tidier.

"A nice stay, with some glitches"

7.0

The location is great, close to a lot of great places in Peak District, also there is a big superstore nearby, and nice cafes in the villages within 5 minutes of driving. The house itself is well organized, we were staying as 2 families and had a great time. There is parking for 2 cars.

When we arrived, there was no hot water or heating, and the boiler showed an error message. We managed to fix it, but apparently it was not checked prior to our arrival. On the last day there was no electricity, but apparently there was a wider issue in the area. The pans in the kitchen are old and unusable.

"Disappointing. Unclean most areas. Noisy. Not value for money."

4.0

Modern bungalow. Owner helpful. Clean bathroom.

On arrival Key did not work in front door so had to call owner. Very noisy busy road and trains across from bungalow. Boiler kept breaking. Front radiator did not work so cold. Kitchen not clean and skirting boards filthy over house. Charged later by owner direct to owner £30 per dog we had 3 chihuahuas. Owner then agreed just to charge for the 2 dogs. Need to know dog cost before booking and arrival. Lots of steps uphill to bungalow from car parking area. Not suitable for those with a disability. .

"Ideal spot to visit some exquisite Peak District gems with the family and dog."

10.0

Very functional. Good heating, hot water & everything we needed. Really interesting area and accessible to a lovely canal path and a short drive to all that the Peak District has to offer. The A Tavola restaurant in nearby New Mills was exceptional and worth a visit in it's own right - lovely walk along the canal too. Great mountain biking up Chinley Churn, a stunning circular hike on Kinder Scout and a MTB ride up a few historic "inclines" to the Fernilee reservoir and some MTB tracks around there. Sizeable Tesco nearby and lots of transport history.

Busy road, although house set well back up a steep path & nice view from the top of the rear garden looking onto open fields.
