The Nest - Lake Taupo

Super well kitted out, lots of nice touches and beautiful view.

The Nest was in a beautiful location overlooking Lake Taupo - what a view! The apartment was lovely - everything was perfect, really comfortable and completely private. Communication was excellent. Highly recommended.

The view is unmatched. Absolutely stunning! The best place we’ve ever stayed. Clean. Had everything we needed…even a towel warmer! Plenty of space and just delightful to be able to open the drapes and see the gorgeous lake. Enjoyed having our meals, coffee and tea on the balcony. We hope to be back someday !

Wowza, what an excellent place! Just minutes out of Taupo with its beaches, walkable downtown, and proximity to nearby attractions, The Nest was a beautiful place to unwind after fun filled days. The location is superb with sweeping panoramic views of shire-like countryside including the blue bays of the Lake Taupo and anchored boats in the distance. We enjoyed the scene while sipping wine on the ample deck of the studio or through floor to ceiling windows. It was a very comfortable stay with every modern convenience. The hosts were welcoming, kind, and great sources of local knowledge. We can recommend without reservation. A perfect and auspicious start to our New Zealand adventure!

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons su que ce lieu était un véritable bijou. Tout est impeccable, parfaitement entretenu et pensé avec beaucoup de soin. En entrant, nous avons eu des étoiles dans les yeux. La vue sur la verdure et le lac est tout simplement à couper le souffle. La décoration intérieure est élégante, très travaillée, et la subtile inspiration française a été pour nous un clin d’œil particulièrement touchant, comme un petit goût de chez nous. La réalité est encore plus jolie que les photos!! La maison est un véritable nid douillet, confortable, où rien ne manque. Même les jours de fort vent, le léger courant d’air dans la chambre au niveau des fenêtres est vite oublié en se blottissant sous la couette ou en enfilant les peignoirs qualitatifs et les chaussons mis à disposition. Le lit est très confortable. Il y a beaucoup de rangements disponibles dans les deux chambres. Le petit déjeuner proposé était très bon : céréales, cookies, salade de fruits, jus de fruit ! J’ai adoré également la banquette dans la cuisine, très confortable pour lire un livre et apprécier la vue vers la végétation. Pour votre linge à laver il y a des laveries au centre de Taupo. Merci pour votre gentillesse, vos précieux conseils pour notre séjour et pour avoir créé un lieu aussi beau, qui donne immédiatement envie d’en prendre soin et de le respecter. Nous avons adoré notre séjour!! Et j’espère un jour pouvoir revenir ☺️
