The Nest - Lake Taupo

The facility was nice and clean, and what really impressed us, was the thought the owners have put into the property to make us feel right at home. We loved the continental breakfast they have prepared for us. And needless to say, the lake view was picture perfect! We would definitely come back again.

the view is absolutely breathtaking! being solo it was comforting knowing that the hosts were right there if I needed anything but they were also respectful of my privacy and for the most part I felt like they weren’t even there. The bed was comfy, the kitchenette had everything I needed as well as breakfast essentials and with the doors opening up to the balcony, it literally felt like I was sitting in the clouds looking over the lake. I also happened to loose the key to my room but the hosts were so accommodating for me and wouldn’t let me pay for a new one which was really lovely of them. If you are wanting to get away from it all and take some time for yourself to fill your cup, I highly recommend this property. By the time I left I felt rejuvenated, refreshed and ready to get back to my family. I hope to go back again some day soon.

The only con I had was the wifi was very patchy so it was a little annoying trying to watch a movie as it kept cutting in and out but it wasn’t anything major. Other than that, everything was exceptional and well thought out to provide a lovely ambiance.
