"Wonderful place to stay in picturesque Taupo"

High on the hill, The Nest has a warm and homely feel and properly the best view we’ve ever stayed at. Loved watching the activity on the lake, such a great place to exhale and watch the world go by. Our hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. A true pleasure to deal with.

Wonderful location with fantastic views upon lake taupo. You just sit, relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery. The breakfast arrangement includes a very nice choice of bread & spreads, fresh fruits & cereals as well as very good coffee , tea & juice. The owner make you feel very welcome and you will have a wonderful time.

"Great views, but set up for full holiday experience - eating out rather than eating in."

The BBQ and associated outdoor eating area was great with a really good view. The main bedroom, and especially the sitting area, was probably our favourite hang out spot. The overall atmosphere was private and super clean. Small thing: USB outlets are really appreciated.

The kitchen lacks a hob, which can’t be changed now, and if guests are there for a while, there are no obvious options for (clothes) washing facilities. The kitchen is, overall, very cramped (especially dishwashing area) if you are eating in; though if guests are making use of the substantial eating out options in Taupo, this might not be a problem.

The views are even better than the photos suggest. The hosts are lovely and welcoming. The place is perfect for a short stay.

We really enjoyed staying at the Nest. The view of the lake is stunning and the place is beautiful and spotless clean. It’s only 10mins drive from the city. We can stay away from the hustle of the city when we want to relax, and it’s still convenient enough if we want to grab a coffee or drink in city, Cheryl is very easy to communicate during our stay, the check in was easy. I would highly recommend staying at the Nest when visiting Taupō.
