F19 Ocean View Villas

The room was dusty, bathroom uncomfortable snd microwave dirty

Dstv was not connecting, it had no signal.

Location was good.

The DSTV channels available were poor. Toilet seat was not secure- On one side, there is no screw. Shower curtain was missing. Towel rod needs fixing. The grouting around the bath is black and needs attention. The base for the bedside lamp was missing. 1 x Globe in the kitchen not working. Verandah light not working. Some of the bowls in the kitchen cupboard were grubby/dirty. Black marks on the ceiling in the main living area Only 3 coat-hangers in the cupboard

Spectacular view, very clean.

Bathroom was a disaster. Broken toilet seat, probably from people twisting around to reach the toilet roll holder which is behind the toilet and almost under the shower attachment. No shower rail or curtain. When using the shower attachment above the bath, the entire toilet (you have to remove the toilet roll from its holder under the shower attachment to shower) and the bathroom floor gets soaking wet. Made for an uncomfortable stay.

The safety

No sugar (just a few sweeteners in a large container), no coffee, no tea, no stove, no shower screen, no bath soap/shower gel, no WiFi password provided, threadbare towels

No smoking zone

After viewing the villa/apartment we decided that it was unsafe to stay there due to the dodgy wiring and mould.

My daughter did not stay in this villa, after being given the key two hours later than the check-in time, as the host was still trying to dry and iron the linen (in this room) while we were trying to drop my daughter's suitcase off so that we could freshen up after travelling internationally for 28 hours (really keen to go and see our relatives). The host blamed the weather, we had been trying to contact the host numerous times since landing in South Africa. The accommodation had plastic camping chairs, mould, no outdoor furniture, bird faeces all over the patio, unsafe looking wiring...we immediately made an alternative booking through Booking.com for the Private Apartment at Ocean View Villas, and checked-in there instead, that was perfect. The other Villa we had booked on site. F16. was perfect!
