OakTree Entire Holiday Home, Sleeps 8 to12

Property was clean when we arrived. Just right size for 2 families (7 people). Close enough to everything. Big parking area.

Property is a bit dated. Furnitures are a bit old. What made us all uncomfortable is the fact that the bed and beddings all smelled like they were slept on and not replaced when we arrived. Good thing we bought a few dried lavender bags and used those between our pillows. Checkout instruction was to vacuum the property but the vacuum cleaner smelt like something rotten inside it. So we reported it to the property manager.

Shampoo was not provided, and towels were only 3 for 7 of us.

The house looked very tidy, which I really liked, and I appreciated that some ingredients, pots, and utensils were well prepared for the guests.

I was disappointed because the house was much smaller than expected, and it was very cold since the heat pump wasn’t working.

The location was great for the things we were attending in Rotorua, it was easy to get everywhere, and to give directions to visitors coming to see us.

That security system has motion sensors in every bedroom, so every time my hubby or I rolled over in bed or stretched our arms in our sleep the blue sensor light lit up the room. The owners said there was nothing they could do, so we put a sock over it, problem solved. I obviously didn't read the house's features very well - towels are not supplied ( a problem when travelling from overseas), there is no coffee plunger and no BBQ, and the ensuite shower needs a very good clean.
