"Clean, nice onsen."

It was clean. The onsen was nice. The room was simple and nice. The owner is quite eccentric. It’s not far from the funicular station but there isn’t much else around there. Very peaceful.

Strange smell on first entry which I think was just the onsen. It was fine once we were in. We were offered an upgrade but we could only pay in cash so make sure you have cash if you’d like to upgrade. We were a few coins down and she wouldn’t accept us paying the rest the next day. Fair enough - was a little disappointing for us.

The location is perfect! It’s very close to Sounzan Station, only about a 5-minute walk, which made getting around really convenient.

The owner kindly offered us an upgrade to a larger and more private room. But the building is a bit old, and the blanket a bit old, which could be improved.
