Lovely clean modern lodge. Calming outlook and wildlife. Very hot hot tub too.

Nothing really just no frying pan lol

The place was easy to find from the motorway and the lodge was warm inside on arrival. It had everything we needed and is well laid out. The lodges are quite close together but it still felt private as you can't see the neighbours (unless they walk or drive between your lodge and the lake). The hot tub was hot and bubbly. We saw several staff, all very pleasant. Uber drivers had no trouble finding us at the main road and dropping us at the lodge.

Trivial stuff. The hot tub maybe needs a step (and I'm 5'7") and the lid is a 2 man job so I couldn't get in it on my own early morning. The dishwasher needed rinse aid but they told us to leave it loaded and they would sort it so that's fine. The cooker didn't cook evenly but we just turned the pizzas more often. One person couldn't get on wifi, others were fine.

It was on outskirts of York and very quiet

The property is very worn and tired slap dash cleaning and very poorly maintained the main doors very difficult to close loose and worn out. Dishwasher supplied but did not work. Oven is next to useless all knob labels are worn out in all four positions so you have to guess what heat setting and is it the grill or oven your putting on??? Site stated a DVD player supplied in property but is not supplied, there is just an old style flat screen tv on its last legs. Main double bed is worn out very soft and old in my opinion The property is extremely basic throughout.

Location , setting, staff all great

The WiFi is poor and one router covers several lodges . Lodges need boosters as WiFi only accessible in limited parts of the lodge.

Lovely location, the lake view was amazing, the privacy of the estate was lovely, the locstion to nesrby ameneties eas great ..

No one checked our jacuzzi, on a daily basis, it was written in welcome pack that they would check on it daily, it also had way too much clorine in it. Bathrobes would have been nice , and appropriate to walk outside. Considering the lodge was very tidy .clean, and well presented the bathroom let it down very dissapointed in the shower .

Location was perfect. Nice to relax or for fishing. Good location to be able to use park and ride for York.

Only some small details no plug for kitchen sink and no lock on bathroom door. Nothing hardly worth mentioning.
