Beech Lodge 4 Hot Tub

Just the most exceptional getaway in York. A perfect lodge set in a picturesque location with a lovely view of the lake and many geese. The Lodge itself is a home from home, it had everything we needed and more, it was spotlessly clean, warm, the beds and sofa were comfortable and everything was easy to use if needed. The hot tub was lovely and warm and clean on arrival with the hosts emptying, cleaning and refilling the hot tub between each guests which is a plus. I enjoyed my morning coffees with the many geese on site which are thankfully friendly. The host was only a message away for any questions we had which is always handy to have. The location itself is close to York centre and every thing you'd want to visit whilst there. We used ubers mainly which were priced very cheap for the 10-15 minute drive into town, costing us between £5-6.50 to go into the centre. The site where the lodge is is very well maintained, extremely peaceful and quiet. We'd absolutely visit the lodge again.

The bath plug in our Lodge let quite a lot of the water out whilst we were bathing. This was a very minor thing though that didn't actually inconvenience us or affect our stay. We'd still rate the stay as 10/10.

Well equipped lodge, very clean and comfy. Hot tub maintained beautifully. Excellent location near supermarket, racecourse and park and ride into York.

Everything was fantastic. Such a pleasant surprise and can’t wait to book again!

Property was in a really nice location, comfortable and clean, could do with a little tlc, but nothing major. Stayed for Christmas and it was brilliant.

Not a con or negative about the stay, but arriving when it’s dark, you can’t see the speed bumps that were very harsh on the bottom of the car, maybe some signs to warn they are there would be a good addition.

The door to get in was very dodgy (cabin number 4) and also there was no welcome pack or anything on how to use the hot tub or where to leave our keys etc when checking out

My only moan is there is no towels or robes
