Unable to fish due to green algae bloom . Wouldn't visit again which is a shame.

Spacious, clean and safe. We felt very at home and relaxed. Everyone slept well, the beds were very comfy. It’s a beautiful place

We liked everything about staying here. Although we don’t fish we found the environment peaceful and relaxing, everyone in the family liked it. The only problem we had is our hot tub filter didn’t seem to be working so after the first day or so we couldn’t use it, they did send someone out to repair but sadly it wasn’t until we were leaving.

Great arrival- lodge open, heating on, fire on, Christmas tree. Man arrived in minutes to tell us everything we needed to know. Nice welcome pack and good information book. Hot tub ready. Great location near lake, easy access to York city. Beds very clean and comfortable.

No lighting outside at all, very dangerous near lake at night. Shower and bath temperamental but we managed. No oven trays. Soft furnishings tired.

Enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and how comfy the beds and sofas are.

Wifi could be better.

I liked the fact the heaters were on for our arrival for a cold November day. Tea, coffee sachets etc, washing up items, were provided for arrival. Well equipped kitchen. It was lovely and warm considering it's a lodge in winter. Bed was very comfy. Lodge was nice and cosy with lovely view of lake. Would like to experience it in the summer.

TV was abit temperamental to work, but when you got it on it was fine.

Service and facilities were fantastic

The shower was a bit slow and not very powerful

The lodge was lovely gorgeous setting. Really enjoyed our stay.

The all night trains. I would book the Oak lodge next time.
