The Sea @ Lanta Hotel

Poorly maintained property in a bad location. Sorry but it’s true

gorgeous location for sunset viewing every evening. clean, huge comfy bed. good location in-between all hot spots on Koh Lanta. Just opposite a great breakfast/lunch spot called Tuesday morning providing super healthy & tasty options and great coffee! really friendly & helpful staff.

close to a road so can often hear motors go by. my room wasn’t cleaned daily until i asked for it to be.

Great location, large room, view of the sea, gorgeous sunset views. Great breakfast place called "Tuesday Mornings" right across the road.

Great little hotel to stay a few nights. Comfortable double bed, kettle, coffee and a fridge in the room. Good air-conditioning. Bathroom was clean, soap and shampoo provided. Small balcony too. Staff very kind, they looked after my bag all day even if I had checked out. Would definitely stay again!

Just a small note: slightly far away from things. You definitely need a scooter to get around. Alternatively, walking can take some time.

Great value. Very clean and daily room service. Kettle with bottled water, coffee, sugar and creamer. Hot water shower. Bed very comfortable. Table and chairs in the room and also on balcony Great views across the sea from our room and bed. "Tuesday Morning cafe" across the road is fantastic for it's food and atmosphere. Eggs Benedict with crispy bacon, Spaghetti Carbonara and Tuesday Morning Burger with roast potatoes are especially good.

The women on reception struggle with English but then my Thai isn't very good. The man who is sometimes on reception speaks ok English. You do need a motorcycle, car or taxi. Apart from Tuesday Morning cafe everything is at least 2km.

It was ok. Clean, nothing extra.

In photos it looks better. For the same price you can find a better place.

The room looked exactly as in the pictures - spacious, clean, light and great view of the sea over the rocky beach from the window and little balcony. The village was 1km walk away which suited us well and it had eating places, Seven 11, ATM, scooter hire etc. This is also where the gorgeous quiet swim beach is. Across the road was Tuesday Morning Small Talk and Chill out coffee shop which was right by the rocky beach. Great food and FAB staff. This closed at 6:06pm, but staff then opened BBQ Grill right next door for the evening - great food and cocktails.

Peaceful and comfortable small hotel (2 floors, 20ish rooms ). Rooms are clean, comfortable (good bed) and spacious. I really enjoyed the small balcony with a sea view ( rooms are 50m away from the beach), great to watch the sunset above the beach. There is also a fridge and good AC. The hotel is a 2 minute scooter drive from Kantiang Bay, the small village nearby, where you can find half a dozen restaurants for everyone (local, pizza and indian). There is also a restaurant just in front of the hotel, which serves great food. This part of the island is not as developed as the more northern part. Less to do, but more peaceful. You can rent a scooter from the hotel (he gives you a reasonable price and flexible schedule) to explore Koh Lanta.
