"Super location, impeccably clean and beautifully appointed"

Our stay at the Captain's Cottage in Cowes was fantastic. The cottage looks cute and cosy from the outside, but there is a surprising amount of space. The kitchen/diner is brand new, extremely well appointed and a lovely place to cook and have an evening meal. The living space is warm and comfortable (with a wonderful log burner), and the upstairs has a huge, spotlessly clean, bathroom (with a lovely bath) and a cosy bedroom. The location is smack bang in the middle of Cowes - literally a couple of minutes walk to the main pedestrian street. Despite this it wasn't too noisy (we also found free parking just two streets up the hill). Katie and Rich were excellent hosts with prompt and friendly communication, and you can tell that they have put lots of work into making the cottage into such a beautiful space. Our only regret was that the good old English weather stopped us enjoying the lovely garden, but it wasn't hard to imagine how nice it would be to enjoy a glass of wine out there in the sunshine! Thanks Katie and Rich for a lovely mini holiday!
