Luxury Private Villa Taj Sofia & Spa

The rooms were all a good size, with en-suites in all but one room. Lovely outdoor area with great seating areas and a fire for colder months/evenings, as well as a well-sized indoor lounge. The host was responsive. Gated parking for 1 car, with further parking on the street as needed. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and the host was flexible with timing of breakfast, as well as putting some pastries out the night before for a morning we had a very early start. Attentive security guard.

- The charges for all extras were very high. E.g. €50/hour to use the jacuzzi is steep. To book a taxi into town via the villa, we were quoted €100 by the villa (using the only service they helped organise), when a local taxi was €20. No access to sauna without paying extra. Felt like a bit opportunistic from the villa. - Communication in advance could be improved slightly with a €150 tourist tax we were asked to pay in cash on arrival as well as a €150 cash deposit we didn't know about in advance. - One set of house keys was a bit of a nuisance. Most of the time the security guard or host was in so this wasn't a a major issue, but would recommend supplying a couple more sets considering up to 12 guests stay there. - Location is quite far from the centre of town - not a major issue and we knew this in advance, but if requiring regular trips into the old town, be prepared for lots of taxis. - In our bedroom, the shower took about 10 minutes to heat up, and then could fluctuate between hot/cold on some days.

This Villa was everything we hoped for and more. Beautiful with loads of room and spaces to socialise as a group. In particular the onsite staff were amazing from our host / receptionist to our security guard and our housekeeper / chef!! Great food and such helpful staff who met our every need and ask, thank you!!

This is a luxurious self-contained villa on the outskirts of Marrakech. Beautiful appointed, with hamman on site, swimming pool and well maintained garden. We had an issue with the in-house chef on our first evening, which the owner dealt with extremely well.

Villa rules that was not stated before arrival turned the holiday and Villa stay very bitter. Manager was very rude to us and made us waste a lot of time when we could be experiencing the Villa that was not cheap to stay in. On top of the disrespect from the manager called Yousef the Villa owner Hisham stepped in and made things a lot lighter to manage. Even though the main issue was not resolved causing me to spend more money, he was a lot more respectful and easier to deal with. One thing that put me off is the amount you pay to stay in the villa and the extra costs of things when it should all be inclusive. Adding hot water to a Jacuzzi shouldn’t be €50. Happy to have experienced the Villa but would not recommend to tourists especially with a manager like that. No customer service experience what so ever. Luckily I come from a Moroccan background and found the situation got dealt with a little nicer because of this. Happy my friends was not alone during this trip. Villa was very clean and stylish, staff were on hand and great with an query we had . The Villa was only 10 minutes from city centre. Spa facility and massages were good.

Nothing
