Cosy Courtyard Cottage sleeps 4 with Log Burner, close to Cambridge

Lovely village and close to Cambridge. House was very comfortable and cosy

Traffic noisy

We enjoyed our stay at the Holts which was very conveniently situated a few doors down from the Crown and Punchbowl where we dining. The property has the bathroom on the ground floor along with a super kitchen and comfortable lounge. The 2 bedrooms are upstairs. The property is old and quirky and perfect for our needs.

Beds uncomfortable, especially the back bedroom. Steep stairs not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

It was clean, and provided shelter for the night.

Only two logs for the wood burner fire, there were more outside but they were wet and not seasoned, and I only found one that would actually fit in the fire (it was a third date, carrying an axe/saw didn't seem appropriate). But, and it was utterly appalling, we could not get any hot water through the shower. So cold and dirty we would have been (coming straight from work) except we used the electric heaters from the bedrooms so we were just dirty.... (The mattress on the double bed is incredibly soft, which didn't suit me, but it may suit others.)

Everything provided for a comfortable stay.

The cottage was comfortable and very quiet

We were unable to operate the heating and so we were cold. We couldn’t lower the temperature of the shower however, the shower over the bath saved the day.

Superb place. We kept and everything there we needed. Two good pubs either side.
