Very calm, isolated place with beautiful view

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The place is beautiful, very calm, and gives a strong feeling of peacefulness and relaxation. There are very few people around, which creates a sense of privacy and even a bit of isolation - in a good way. However, the service could definitely be improved. The staff are very kind and welcoming, but their level of English is quite limited. They often don’t know the menu well, so you have to repeat or clarify things multiple times. Small details are also frequently overlooked - for example, when towels were replaced in the room, the old ones were not taken away. At the reception, if you ask for help, you usually need to follow up several times, otherwise it can take a long time to get things done. Overall, it feels like many things are not fully organized or finished. There also doesn’t seem to be a manager on site, which makes it harder to resolve issues when they arise. On the positive side, the internet works well, and the food is decent. However, it’s better to stick to local Balinese dishes. European dishes are not always executed properly or are missing key ingredients - for example, a Caesar salad was served without parmesan, replaced by regular cheese. In general, the experience was good, but it feels like the hotel doesn’t quite reach a higher standard yet.

The resort is like a paradise: beautiful views, cozy villas, peace and quiet — perfect for relaxing and recharging. But what makes this place truly special is the people who work there. We would like to say a big thank you to Mus and Aisha, they were very kind, helpful and always ready to assist us with any questions. We really appreciated their support. Mus was especially attentive and professional, making sure everything ran smoothly and that we felt comfortable during our stay. Also, many thanks to Arfan, our driver, for safe and comfortable trips, and to Justice for great and friendly service at the restaurant. In general, all the staff at the resort are wonderful, caring, professional and very welcoming. We definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again!

I stayed at Arya Kodi Sumba Resort for 5 days, it was such a lovely and memorable experience. The place is super beautiful and has that calm, charming vibe. It’s really quiet and feels far away from busy life, which is exactly what I was looking for. The beach and sunset is amazing, the pool is nice, and there are fun activities like horse riding and canoeing. It’s the kind of place where you can just slow down and enjoy nature. What made the trip extra special was exploring around the area. The beaches are insanely beautiful, and visiting the traditional villages and caves made it feel like a proper adventure. Definitely one of the highlights. Also, shoutout to Ina from the restaurant team. She was always so friendly, checking in on us and giving great recommendations on where to go. You can tell she really cares. Honestly, she could be a role model for the newer staff. A few small things to improve: • The pool could use a bit more maintenance, there were some white residues and it got a bit slippery in places. • Mosquito service in the evening would be really helpful if it was provided by default. • The front desk team could be a bit more warm and proactive, Ina’s level of service would be perfect there too. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The place has a lot of potential, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway.

It’s a gem of resort in Sumba. Very clean. Beautiful with a great team looking after the guests.
