Barn with Hot Tub, Pool Table & Pizza Oven

It is a very large living space, plenty of room for 6+ adults plus a few garden areas. The owners corresponded back very well and gave us a discount after we let them know what needed to be addressed in the house and garden.

Unfortunately we encountered a lot of things that were either unclean, tired, dated or just not maintained. We were so excited when we arrived, looking forward to a night away. Mains things we were looking forward to were pizza oven, hot tub and snooker table/darts board. These were not fit to eat, bathe in. Snooker table is a child's one and on a slope.

A problem with the filter on the hot tub but we sorted it by changing the filter we had contact from the owner and it didn’t spoil our enjoyment Was informed that the upstairs toilet was broken but just used the downstairs one

Beautiful large house. Private and quiet

The kitchen utensils were a bit old and not many of considering the house is for large groups.

Lovely set up with everything we needed for a quiet weekend in the country side. The hot tub was a fantastic addition!

Great size & location. Fab outside space. Nicely decorated.

The barn is in a brilliant location with lots of places to visit nearby and brilliant local pubs and restaurants all within a few miles. Lots of ample parking. The common space is large and the added touches of the dart board, small pool table, few games were all a nice touch when travelling with children. The rooms are all a good size,.comfortable and well dressed and the addition of fans for each room was really helpful as the barn does get very warm. Plenty of bathrooms too.

Sadly the photos did not show that there are steps between the main living space to the kitchen and then to the bedrooms, the garden with the hot tub is also in a garden adjacent to the property in a raised area which is up some large uneven steps. For some this will not be an issue, but as we travelled with one disabled person and another with some limited mobility this made our stay quite difficult as two of our party could not access the garden at all and moving around in the space was more difficult. ( appreciate this is not advertised as an "accessible property" but the photos do not show these steps). The ground floor bedroom and bathroom does offer step free access to the shower which was great but there are steps down into the property with no handrail and a large step down from the only other door. Some of the bricks at the top of the stairs were missing causing a trip hazard. There were also a few minor things inside such as the door handle being broken on the inside of the twin room meaning could not be closed as what remained was sharp, the downstairs single toilet being out of use as the door could not close due to some cables that had been run, the toilet seat being loose, the glass needing cleaning throughout and quite a lot of flies. As said in an earlier review it needs a little bit of TLC.
