The Side - Hexham

The place was absolutely spotless, there was everything you needed in the kitchen with some nice touches like milk, bread, eggs and even a couple of small bottles of prosecco which we didn't expect, the hosts were very welcoming and there was information on things to do in the area

There is nothing to dislike

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The accommodation was comfy, clean, warm and quiet. The kitchen facilities were great, there was everything I needed and the hosts had provided supplies that included basics like milk and bread, and some very welcome treats. There is a fab shower; excellent wifi; and washing facilities (a washing machine and clothes line) that came in very handy considering the weather.

Nothing - it was an excellent venue and I hope to visit again when I am next in the area.

The apartment was situated in a quiet area very close to Hexham Town centre. Mike and Lorna were great hosts who went to the trouble of getting me some dairy and gluten free items in when I explained my dietary requirements. This was totally appreciated and such a thoughtful thing to do. The apartment itself was warm and welcoming and had everything that I needed. It was home away from home. I would definitely recommend it. Great location too to visit Hadrians Wall and other sites of interest.

We enjoyed our stay at The Side. A warm welcome from the lovely and helpful hosts to their comfy and clean accommodation. Proper kitchen with some kind additions we could make a breakfast with, comfortable bed and good shower. Basically everything we needed and to a very good standard. Only a short walk into the town centre to the restaurants, pubs and shops but in a very quiet location. We really felt at home and would definitely stay again.
