The Side - Hexham

Mile and Lorna were amazing. They really went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. From supplying needle and thread for a last minute sewing repair before a wedding, to picking us up at the station, nothing was too much trouble. Easy walk into town, easy walk to Waitrose and Tesco. I made it up the “hill” just fine and I’m 65. Nice that they had tea, coffee, orange juice, milk eggs and bread. Even Prosecco! Extremely clean. Hope to visit again.

Everything in the property was perfect. We were made to feel really welcome. Everything you could possibly need was in the property and everything you forgotten was provided! Lots of extras and finishing touches made it special.

Although we are self catering, our hosts provided breakfast supplies which was very helpful.

Absolutely amazing place to stay, the pictures don’t do this place justice as it’s so much nicer than it shows. The hosts were fantastic when it was my fault with the booking that I forgot to tick 2 people, they were quick to get extra items to the accommodation, fantastic hospitality, felt very homely. Thank you!!

Such a cozy place to relax after a day exploring along Hadrian's Wall. Mike and Lorna are fantastic hosts, and The Side has everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy your holiday. Very conveniently located too, it's just a short 10 minute or so walk in to the heart of town. You'll love it there!
