The Beachfront - Praia D'El Rey Golf & Beach Resort

+ amazing 5* breakfast and dining available at the Marriott hotel (NOT at the Mare restaurant) for extra fee + beachfront houses with sea view and balcony + spacious layout with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, and kitchen appliances + adventure club offering bike and surfboard rentals nearby + Mare restaurant's a la carte and Clubhouse food were nice (a bit pricey)

This is definitely not a 5* hotel, but not even a 4* quality -- it's NOT the same as the Marriott hotel - room decor minimal and cold, with uncomfortable extra bed and really not 4* or 5* quality - Mare restaurant breakfast VERY poor, limited options --> choose the Marriott - location far from town so either rent a car or expect many taxi rides for any activity, including surfing (- our pre-arrival requests e.g., diving, excursion activities were forgotten and not arranged)

1- percebendo que todos os funcionários devem ter direito ao seu descanso, não se justifica em periodo alto de férias o restaurante e a merceraria estarem fechados dois dias. Investimento em RH num modelo de escala de serviço ajudariam a estar aberto, nestes meses, todos os dias. Claramente com impacto na satisfação do cliente. 2- Qualidade de alguns dos colchões abaixo das expectativas, Muito rijos e desconfortáveis, não permitem um descanso adequado.

Great location, several stairs to the beach. Fantastic view from all the balconys. Fully equipped kitchen, parking spot right at the door. Recommended for families and romantic holidays as well.

All the resort was lovely. Maré restaurant served very good food and had lovely views. Staff friendly. Apartment was lovely with amazing views. Nice to have extra balconies too.

Pity the tennis courts were not open. A little earlier check in /later check out would be appreciated as 10am is early compared to other places we stayed. A lot of places enabled check-in at 3pm or earlier and nearly all places allowed check out at 11am. The pool area was a little bare and stark so would be nice if that was decorated more for relaxing - felt like one was surrounded by a bare concrete box. Poolside refreshments in the eve would be great.
