Reef & Beach Resort - Spa Jambiani

Very shabby and run down, very rude and unhelpful staff. Especially guest services and reception. Wouldn’t help me arrange an airport transfer, despite saying on my booking that they offered one. Couldn’t provide me with a number of a taxi either. I was completely stuck. I stayed in 4 zanzibar hotels, this one was absolutely awful compared to the rest. Food also was cold, basic and not just not nice. Really really advise against you going here. Most uncomfy sunbeds I’ve ever known. Drinks looking like they’ve been there for years

Lovely staff and amazing vibe

Las instalaciones muy originales y había de todo. La comida estaba muy rica. La habitación muy limpia. Había diferentes puntos de acceso a la playa y se respiraba un ambiente muy tranquilo. El wifi del hotel también iba muy bien

El servicio de bebidas era bastante lento. No todas las bebidas estaban incluidas en el “all inclusive plan”, ya que había un “all inclusive premium”

The food was so good! 3 restaurants to choose from and the fact usually lunch can be hit and miss with all inclusives, but this one was delightful. The staff were so friendly and helpful, from behind the bar, restaurant or the animation team. The jetty (sunbeds by the ocean) cannot be recommended enough, will come back just for those.

Only small gripe is the WiFi wasn't accessible everywhere in my room but the WiFi in the main places of the hotel was very good.

Beautiful settings, jetty bar was good gardens lovely, monkeys walking about was lovely to see. The manager Mohammed was a very helpful guy guy

A few problems. Staff a bit rude at welcome reception when we arrived,they changed our room which I never got told, ( the room was fantastic over looking the lovely sea), no soft drinks or water in mini fridge in room, only had room temperature water, I did ask the bar if I could have some and I got rudely told no not allowed! Food was ok in buffet , Indian was better and the Italian was good. Beach towels, there is only one desk where you can get them, you need to be quick in mornings or they would run out and you be waiting for more to be delivered. Our room over looking the sea new blocks was stunning , towels have seen better days but they were clean & changed every day, The tour company’s who had an office in the reception, we hired a car from them for two days. We went out the first day got pulled up by the police was there about 50 minutes trying to ring the tour company’s office with no luck the permit had run on the car.we had to give the police a few £s, took car straight back and got our money back.

Das Hauptrestaurant ist eher übervölkert, wenig entspannend und einladend. Essen nicht schlecht, schon ein guter Kaffee ist im all-inclusive nicht enthalten und die Gratis-Drinks oft lieblos. Indisches Spezialitätenrestaurant war spärlich besucht.

Location and staff

A tranquil, beautiful and relaxing stay at Reef and Beach Resort Hotel in Jambiani. The amenities, the surroundings and the amazing staff exceeded our expectations. Our first visit to Zanzibar and we were greeted with warm, welcoming hospitality by all staff at the resort. A big thank you to Mohammed(Reception), Ali (Reception), Saeed (Reception), Mohammed (Food and Beverage Manager), Hazlah (Waiting staff), Nawapenda our wonderful (Room Attendant) and Thomas (Security). Our room was large and spacious with a huge bathroom and lovley decor. We booked the front Ocean Swim Up Room (Room 840), which had beautiful sunrise and sunset views. AC in the room was great. Water was provided daily and replenished. The hotel all inclusive food and drinks were delicious and plenty of choice. Can not fault it. Variety of restaurants to dine in. We hired a car and there is free parking onsite.

No issues beyond fabulous.
