San Clu Hotel, Bar & Brasserie

Understaffed,

Very comfortable and spacious room. We had a standard room lovely

The breakfast , afraid we did not enjoy

The noise outside our room from maybe air conditioning units or other machinery all night

Views from the room were superb. The 4 poster bed was extremely comfortable. The room including the balcony was very spacious. The breakfast was delicious. Val was a very friendly and attentive morning waiter. We were there for an event at the Granville Theatre which was just a minute's walk away and there was some fun entertainment in the hotel bar when we got back from that. We thoroughly enjoyed our night and we are planning on making a weekend in Kent based at your hotel in the near future

Luckily there was parking in the streets around as the advertised hotel free parking was very small and always full. It was extremely busy when we arrived on Friday evening so we had to go looking for staff and wait quite a while to check in - maybe there could be a bell or buzzer system for guests waiting at the desk

Avoid room 106 like the plague, outside the window is a huge air conditioning unit that hums 24 hours making it difficult to sleep. The room has only1 useable plug socket.

NOT A LOT. hOT WATER LIMITED. ROOMS OVERHEATED & CRAMPED, EITHER TOO HOT OR TOO COLD. NO INFORMATION, A PIECE OF A4 WOUKLD NOT BREAK THE BANK, EVEN RECEPTION SEEMED EITHER DISINTERESTED OR DIDN'T KNOW THE BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE HOTEL. COULD BE NICE IF MANAGEMENT WIELDED THE WHIP A LITTLE HARDER. RESTAURANT FOOD NICE BUT EVERYTHING WAS SPICY. WENT TO RESTAURANT, NO INFO AS TO OPEN TIMES AND TOLD WE HAD 5 MINS TO ORDER.

The breakfast arrangement. As we were going out for Sunday lunch. we just wanted something light, such as a coffee and croissant. However, this was not possible as the price would have been the same (£12.95 ) as for the full English buffet breakfast - we went elsewhere! A little flexibility is needed.
