Big Daddy's Beach Club & Hotel

Pool was not kept up and green, food was poor and the beach was filthy with a ton of trash.

I would suggest at least a bottle of water in the room or an ice machine accessible, must places have a tiny refrigerator in the room which makes it convenient if you want to preserve any food or drinks.

Your staff is nice but like I told the owner, Panamanian customer service is slow in general, I think it's the culture, when you ask for a drink it takes for ever to get it, I saw customer without a drink and the waiters didn't attempt to upsale, or ask if they wanted another one.

Restaurant menu a little bit short

The little restaurant was simple but food was good, had the grilled chicken with salad and patacones. My husband had the shrimp pizza and also very good!

It was a very quiet time while we were there, but the music at pool was a bit loud and can hear in the room.

Facilities are spectacular, room has a nice space, pool area is relaxing and the ocean view is the Best.

A bit pricey, but can understand why. Located near the town and you can feel the exclusive of the place.

The food was in general very good. Pricey though. The breakfasts were lovely, well-cooked omelets. Our first night's dinner was lovely, but the 2nd night was not so good. Once you are at Big Daddys it is unlikely that you will look for restaurants anywhere else for dinner as there are no restaurants in the area. Lunches are different as you can move further down the coast and find some nice places to eat at such as Hooked on Panama. The rooms are spacious, very basic, but comfortable. The staff are wonderful. Always a smile and a laugh from them! The swimming pool was great to cool off in. A perfect size and depth.

Whilst you are on the beach, it is not a swimming beach and the beach is not the attraction. There is a lot of sewerage being dumped out into the ocean. The smell was not bad when we were there, but you could see the ocean was not clean. Again, you can drive out of the town and find swimming beaches. The rooms are not very well insulated and we had a baby next door that was fairly disturbing. Also, if guests sit outside to eat, they sit right outside your room door and you can hear them. The roof is in desperate need of repair. We did not have any rain, so cannot comment on whether there were any leaks in the roof. The showerhead in our room was a mess. This is an easy and cheap fix and would make a difference. Our basin also blocked up all the time and we were often left waiting for it to subside before we could continue brushing teeth etc.
