Sherwood Ranch Cottages - 403 Woodbank Road

Lovely, peaceful location with sheep in the field at the front of house and beautiful mares and foals in the field behind, who were happy to receive carrot treats and pats. Friendly, welcoming hosts. Clean and comfortable.

Everything was great, especially being surrounded by the beautiful farm animals

The bedrooms are a decent size, king size/bigger beds would be the only request

De Sherwood Ranch was een perfecte vakantiewoning voor mij en mijn gezin. Op een paar minuten afstand van Hanmer Springs was de ligging ideaal. De woning was netjes verzorgd en voorzien van de juiste faciliteiten. Het contact met de eigenaar was goed en hij had al de verwarming aangezet zodat het lekker warm was toen we aankwamen.

I had a fantastic stay! The cottage was spotless—especially the kitchen, which was not only clean but beautifully maintained. The view was stunning and added a relaxing touch to the whole experience. Check-in was completely seamless, making arrival stress-free. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout. I’ll definitely be booking here again! The highlight were the feeding of the horses!! Kids loved them

Lovely country location with horses right outside. Just a short drive to the town and the springs. Great to be able to light a wood fire on a cold evening. Nice to have chopped carrots provided to feed the horses. Fairly rustic house but very comfortable to stay in

It was quite pricey for a modest house compared to other places we have stayed in the South Island but maybe that’s just Hanmer Springs?

Such a unique experience, we were a family of 4 with 2 littles, and our 2 friends who were visiting nz. the kids enjoyed feeding the horses, and our friends got an Authentic rustic kiwi experience.
