"A Thumbs Up for the Dairy"

8.0

I loved the quirky decor, the giant TV and Clover the cow rug. I also liked the thoughtful additions seasonings and every pot and utensil you can think of. I liked the Donkey picture I want to get one the same I called him Dilbert. The location is conveniently close to different beaches Paignton and Torquay were great for gifts, entertainment and eating out. The Extreme Circus was brilliant. Other places worth visiting were Teignmouth and Meadfoot. The Cliff railway tram is also worth the experience to get onto Oddicombe beach. The food at the Waddling duck was great, the steak was perfect. I also liked the Buccaneer inn and it's food and Angels for a cream tea all of these within walking distance as in round the corner. It's a stunning view and well maintained place. I met the proprietor once and he was genial and willing to help he seemed very pleasant.

The location although convenient was extremely noisy cars constantly up and down the road and in and out of the tiny by road the actual cottage sits on. I know it's a busy season but it was annoying. I also had a problem with the bathroom it has a distinct off-putting smell that smelt very strongly at times.I think it's because there is no window in there. I also had no recycling bin so had to ask the neighbour across the road and she kindly let me use her bins which I appreciated.

"Excellent"

8.0

This location is amazing - a short walk to the beach and amenities - a perfect spot for families. Theres a wide range of different actitivies to undertake within walking distance

The lack of tv - its a smart tv in every room which is a faff not needed! Cleanliness - the property is great but could do with a deep clean! Damp - the humidifier is a good addition

"Very Good"

7.0

Good location, close to shops, beaches and bus stop 1 min away, great to get to attractions and other areas. Just big enough for a family of 4, nice decor, Quiet area and quiet inside the property. The small area by the entrance was handy to dry clothes and leave dirty shoes. Brand new kitchen sponge and cloth provided along with surface cleaner and washing up liquid and plenty of washing pods and dish washer pods.

It wasn't super clean, abit dusty and sticky and some areas not hoovered, and there was a fan in the twin bedroom covering the tv just seemed abit pointless. The toilet was snug next to the sink, potentially a probably if your a wide shouldered person, Hand soap provided in the bathroom would of been ideal, had to buy one and left it behind when we left, there was a coffee machine and no pods or instructions of how to use it or what pods it took.

"Impersonal booking in a small cottage that has all you need"

7.0

The location was good for access to Torquay and surrounds and walkable into Babbacombe and St Mary's Church, both lovely areas. The property is light upstairs where the seating , dining and kitchen area is - all in one room. We were 3 adults and there was ample space for 4 to eat/sit etc. There are french doors out to a balcony which is useful for airing the room and keeping it cool - the balcony is small so not for sitting outside. The parking is just next to the property for exclusive use.

The cottage is behind the main street in a quite unusual place kind of behind the house on the street and where others park their cars. There is no outside space to sit and there are no views but it is quiet. Mainly what I did't like was the impersonal nature of the booking and the fact that everything is manged by companies. The process between booking and arriving involves a validation/onboarding company that aims to sell you a waiver of £35 for damages. There are constant messages to fill various details in that it makes you concerned that the booking could be cancelled. It put me off the booking so much that I would try to avoid that type of booking again. On arrival it was clear that the maintenance/cleaning company are not doing their job just going through the motions. And apparent that the owners do not visit regularly. There were several things broken/damaged eg: broadband box outside/ key lock loose/ gash in wall at the bottom of the stairs/ chipped mug and bowl etc that needed attention and the cleaning was not excellent eg - quickly washed pans with food still on them, food remnants on trays in the oven etc. We alerted the 'owners' to those things we found on the first day to ensure we were not held responsible. I received a very polite reply but no action was taken on any of it and no helpful responses. Eg I pointed out that the furniture is all wood yet there are no coasters to prevent the tables being damaged so we were using kitchen roll. We didn't get in touch again and had a nice stay despite finding a few more things that needed attention. However when I returned home and checked my booking.com messages on my computer it became clear that the reply I had been sent had been AI generated (without deleting the bit where AI says you could respond as... ) confirming the lack of care and concern that I had experienced.

Good Location close to the shops and amenities of Babbacombe. Lovely quirky decor.

Slightly let down by not being the cleanest, could do with a bit of a refresh especially the bathroom.

Exceptional cozy little cottage witihin easy walking distance of shops, wonderful Museum, brilliant Model Village, local Theatre, great value for money restaurants and the wonderful cliff railway and Oddicombe Beach. The cozy cottage was very clean, comfy beds, quirky furniture and lighting and parking outside the property

There is nothing to complain about so well done to the owners who have ensured your holiday is 100 per cent perfect

"Lovely holiday home"

8.0

Great location for walks, views, shops, cafes. Lovely lounge area, facilities e.g. washing machine, speedy dishwasher comfortable bed in main room, large TV. Helpful information pre check in.

Just small details, but children's room was warmer than ideal, shower could start warmer and hold angle better.
