"Great cosy fire experience"

Lovely cosy cottage with a wide range of kitchen utensils and a fantastic gas cooker. The burner in the living room helped to keep out the cold and create a lovely vibe as the evening drew in.

"Hoxne Cottage - Solo Cyclist"

10.0

The cottage itself was fabulous and just what I love about England. there are some amazing looking cottages around this area and it just fills me with happiness that we have some great areas like this left to visit! I love the old features such as the beams and the inner door and the flooring in the living room was fantastic. The garden was very very relaxing and very warm with the afternoon sunshine! It was very enjoyable to sit and relax with my book and listen to the birds. The kitchen was a massive size which is always a bonus. the bath was luxurious after cycling each day! And lastly..... that bed was massive for my little size, the quilt cover was just lovely, very comfy and soft. Tea,coffee and sugar was provided which was an extra bonus for me! the kitchen was fully equipped too. plenty of bog roll and shower gel/shampoo. there is a village shop just 1 minute away also. surrounding area was just what I wanted. birds bees and trees! very happy to be here. Extremely quiet area. bearly herd a peep from anyone.

Nothing at all but the village shop was unexpectedly closed. not once was did I see it opening my 3 day visit.

"Enjoyable stay. House was good value. The hosts were easily contacted and very helpful."

8.0

The house was beautifully warm when we arrived after a long journey. It was fun investigating the house, which had all mod cons including a freezer and a large range cooker. I also liked the blinds which were really cute and easy to use.

Was happy all round.

"Would recommend if you love old characterful properties"

8.0

Loved this old character cottage in a pretty village. Very cosy and plenty of space and all the facilities you need. On street parking, but space always available close to the property entrance (through the metal double gates). The local pub is lovely and there is a shop/post office also. Not too far from Diss if you need a supermarket or train station. We used the cottage as a base for exploring Suffolk and Norfolk and was very central for that.

As others have said please be aware that the bathroom is at ground floor so you’ll need to navigate the steep stairs if, like us, you need frequent visits to the loo through the night!

Wonderful old cottage with so much character. Very quiet and relaxing. 3 minute walk to a lovely old pub (the swan). Great relaxing break.

Cannot think of anything.
